Considered the oldest monastery in Greece, built in 362 AD at Kalavryta, Peloponnese. Eight-storey construction at the opening of a cave above the Voraikos River. Holds relics from the Greek War of Independence (1821), Byzantine icons, manuscripts, and a library of 3,000+ volumes.
