His Eminence Gregory, Metropolitan of Cameroon and Exarch of Central Africa, was born George Stergiou in Megara, Attikis in 1961. In 1984 he was tonsured a monk at the Holy Monastery of St Paraskeve Maziou, of the Metropolis of Megara and Salamina. He was a founding member of the Brotherhood. He was ordained Deacon in 1984 and Priest in 1988, receiving also the rank of Archimandrite His Eminence Vartholomaios Metropolitan of Megara and Salamina.
