Panagia tis Olymbou — annual, August 15 (Dormition of the Virgin) in the mountain village of Olympos, Karpathos. One of Greece's most authentic panigiria: women in vivid traditional costume, slow communal dances (the 'syrtos'), Karpathian lyra music and village feasting outside the Panagia church.
